BSHAA Visits The DMU

Giulio Specchia (BSHAA Director of Workforce and Policy) and Zoe Perry (BSHAA Operations Manager) had the pleasure of joining the Audiology students at De Montfort University for their Employability Day.

It was great to meet the students, lecturers, and representatives from manufacturers, potential employers, and fellow professional bodies, to discuss the hearing care industry and the vast variety of career paths available within the audiology profession.

We feel it is so important to support and educate the next generation of Audiologists, helping them to shape the future of Audiology.

Our Vice President, Annie Morris, attends Manchester Center of Audiology and Deafness

Our Vice President, Annie Morris, attended Manchester Centre of Audiology and Deafness, representing BSHAA at their World Hearing Day - Education Event.

Annie led one of the round-the-table discussions, providing her valuable knowledge and insight on the subject matter of how we can improve deaf awareness in the audiology world, and how we can further support new students entering the hearing industry.

The event also featured panel discussions and breakout sessions with leading voices from our industry, including Zara Musker, a Clinical Scientist with lived experience of deafness and a Team GB Deaf football player who also captains the England futsal team.

We were delighted to be part of such an important event. Thank you to all those involved.
