EuroTrak started in 2009 as a survey on hearing health and various topics around hearing instruments (adoption, satisfaction, usage, image) in the UK, France and Germany. Since then it has been conducted in 13 countries, in some of them for the fourth time. More than 400,000 people have been interviewed thus far.
The webinar will focus on the latest (2018) results of the UK survey, putting it into an international context by comparing UK data to that of other countries. Dr Zimmer will be answering lots of questions, including:
- How many people report self-assessed hearing loss? How many of those wear hearing aids? Are they satisfied with them? Why not?
- Where did they get their hearing aids from? What is their feedback on the product and on the services of hearing care professionals?
- How many hours per day do they actually wear their hearing aids? What can you as professionals deduct from these answers?
- What are the most convincing reasons to adopt hearing aids? Why do some people not want to wear them at all? And how can you make use of these findings in your daily work and your interaction with hard of hearing people?
